In the midst of an ever-evolving threat landscape of malware, ransomware, and distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks, Veritas Technologies announced the formation of the Veritas Public Sector Advisory Board, a team of experts dedicated to the continued alignment of Veritas enterprise data protection solutions and the latest public sector cybersecurity guidance. The Public Sector Advisory Board will provide strategic advice and guidance on recent federal initiatives such as President Biden’s May 2021 Executive Order on Improving National Cybersecurity, as well as National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) guidelines for securing the nation’s critical software. The Advisory Board includes Karen S. Evans, former Chief Information Officer for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security; Frank Finelli, retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel; Nancy Norton, retired U.S. Navy Vice Admiral; and Dr. Barry West, former Chief Information Officer of six different federal government agencies.
